I know, I know…winter is coming. But we’re milking the warm weather for all it’s worth. So we decided to check out Cascade Springs and we loved it. The drive up was gorgeous and it will become even more gorgeous once the fall comes along (and for the two weeks that fall actually sticks around). It takes about thirty minutes to get there from the mouth of the canyon but it’s worth it.
The “hike” is extremely easy. There are about three loops and each take ten to 15 minutes to complete. There are informational signs to teach your littles about birds and plants so I found it was a great learning activity (for me).
Cascade Springs is great for toddlers and dogs. There are some areas where your toddler might walk off, like the bridge, so exercise some caution with your littles. Other than that, it’s extremely easy and it’s really beautiful.
Getting to Cascade Springs is simple. You take the Alpine Scenic Loop up the American Fork Canyon. Once you reach the top you turn off towards the sign marked “Cascade Springs” (here’s your sign). The route is narrow but trucks get through just fine with some standard-skill driving.
Check it out and let us know what you think!
