So we’ve covered ideas for your Baby’s First Christmas. But what about their second, third, and fourth? I like to take Isabella through the Target toy section and see what she is drawn to, which I STRONGLY suggest you do with your little before the crowds get WILD. In the meantime, here are some of our favorite things.
1. Crayola Color Wonder Markers and Color Wonder Coloring Books
These bad boys only write on ONE thing – the Color Wonder coloring books – unlike the dry erase markers that Isabella used to mark up our neighbor’s white duvet cover. You can take them in the car, on the plane, let her color on your white duvet. No mess, no hassle, and safe for kids.
Kids love building things and Lego makes Lego Duplo for littles. They help your little develop motor skills, hand-eye coordination, spacial skills, creativity, divergent thinking, and on, and on, and on. Just don’t step on them.
Isabella absolutely loves her trike. It’s been able to grow with her the last few months. My only wish is that we would have bought it sooner. For more about info, See our review HERE!
4. Toy Kitchen or Grill
They’re in the monkey-see monkey-do stage, why not get them their own space to explore?
This is also comes in navy blue, red, or white (and they’re all beautiful).
and then there’s my favorite, and also the cheapest, option.
The Little Tikes Cook-n-Grow BBQ Grill
5. Minnie and Mickey Mouse plush mini bean bag
These 9-inch little dolls are great travel companions.
This great find was on our Baby’s First Christmas Wish List but it’s a toy that can grow with your little. Add pages as they master skills. I can’t emphasize how great these are for developing fine-motor skills. We’re in love.
These bad boys help your little get exercise (and drain all of that excess energy). They fold flat so they store much better than you’d expect. They’re ESPECIALLY perfect for stir crazy toddlers during the winter months.
8. Little Tikes EasyScore Basketball Set
Indoor or outdoor, these are great for just about every little. They come in blue, yellow, and pink (the pink is new to me). Great for developing hand-eye coordination, motor-skills, as well as social skills. They grow with your toddler so you’ll get some longer-term use from them. I know most littles would be THRILLED to see this under the tree!
9. Melissa and Doug Shape Sorting Cube
It’s like a shape sorter on steroids. Yes, we went there.
10. Fisher Price Little People Music Parade Ride-on
We all know your little has found this in the store and wont stop trying to ride it. Just get it already.
11. Bubbles, and bubbles, and bubbles, and bubbles, and bubbles.
ANYTHING that blows bubbles is an INSTANT win. Check out this all-star. I don’t want to get you TOO excited, but there’s also a bubble lawn mower. It happened.
Fischer Price Bubblin’ Leaf Blower
12. Books & More Books
Don’t know which ones? Parents.com came out with a list of The All-Time Best Books for Toddlers and we’re in love.
13. Crayola Magnetic Double Sided Easel
This magnetic board speaks for itself. Grab some magnetic numbers and letters and use this board to promote creativity and learning! Another find that wont outgrow your toddler too quickly!
What’s on the top of your toddler’s list? Let us know!
